Hot air balloon flights,
flight instruction and

services offered by Prairie Sky
- Hot Air Balloon Rides
are given any time during the year (weather permitting)

- We can carry up to six passengers per flight
- Flight duration is approximately one hour
- Flights originate at sunrise or within two hours of sunset
- We fly 7 days per week (weather permitting)
- First flight certificate with photo memento
- Gift Certificates are available for special occasions

- Flight Instruction for
your private or commercial instructor flight certificate
For your private flight certificate you will
need:
- - A minimum of 10 hours in a free balloon, which includes at least 6
flights with an authorized instructor
- One flight to 2,000 feet
- One solo flight
- - Written FAA exam
- - FAA flight test
- No medical certificate required

Flight Testing, Kay West is a
FAA Designated Examiner located in Sioux Falls, SD
- - FAA Examination to acquire a Private Pilot Certificate or Commercial
Flight Certificate for Balloons with an on-board heater
- - Examination usually occurs in South Dakota, however they can be
arranged to be given elsewhere in the United States with enough time and
notice
- Exams can be scheduled any time during the year
